Becoming a Member

Membership in the Java Card Forum may be accorded by the Members to any company that

1. endorses Java Card,
2. commits to using Java Card in its products,
3. commits to promoting Java Card as its favored solution for dynamic multiple application schemes,
4. supplies products which embed (or will embed) Java Card API,
5. is licensed Javacard by SUN Microsystems,
6. applies for membership, and
7. agrees to be bound by the by-laws of the group, including commitments to participate in/support the work of the Java Card Forum. Members of the Java Card Forum have chosen to develop their new families of multiple-application products around the Java Card API specification issued by SUN Microsystems.

Companies that meet these criteria are invited to apply for membership to the President of the Java Card Forum.

Information substantiating the request should be furnished. The Java Card Forum Business Committee will vote on all applications so received.
