Minutes, Strategic Partners' Meeting - September 24 I. VISA and ETSI Work D. Wentker will prepare, for the Stuttgart meeting, a detailed presentation on VOP. By that time, the split version of the Specifications should be distributed and ready for decision by the Business Committee of the Java Card Forum to recommend their use in sectors other than financial. II. Extension to healthcare and transportation We revisited the opportunity to open the Strategic Partners meetings to the transportation and healthcare sectors. Christian Goire will prepare a questionnaire. Bull, Gemplus, Schlumberger, Toshiba, Motorola, IBM and Orga will send this questionnaire to their own contacts. III. Terminal manufacturer sub group Decision is taken to start the foundation of the terminal manufacturer sub group. Christian Goire will prepare the Mission Letter for this group, in cooperation with Jack Pan, Rudolph Ritter and Heberart Hechler. IV. Card management sub group A new working group is created for Card Management. Heberart Hechler takes the lead on this work and is responsible for presenting the scope to the Java Card Forum. The group is composed of Bull, Gemplus, Oscar, Schlumberger and G&D. V. Formal proofs The complete proposal of Professor Armando Haeberer from Brazil is transmitted to Patrice Peyret and Christian Goire. VI. Meetings The next regular JCF meeting will be held in Stuttgart, December 2 - 3, hosted by IBM. A meeting with Terminal manufacturers will be held in Naples on February 26th, in conjunction with the February 24 - 26 meeting hosted by IBM. |
