Below is described the Policies of the Java Card Forum for the use of the Java Card Forum logo ("JCF Logo"). Usage of the JCF Logo is restricted to Java Card Forum Members in good standing, who have executed the specific Java Card Forum Logo License Agreement, hereinafter referred to as "Licensees".
Usage
Licensees may reproduce and display the JCF logo subject to the policies of the Java Card Forum described herein.
Use of the JCF Logo by a Licensee shall be for the purposes of indicating (a) that the Licensee is a member of the Java Card Forum, and (b) that the Licensee supports the purposes and objectives of the Java Card Forum.
The Java Card Forum recommends that Licensees use the JCF Logo to promote the Java Card Forum objectives by including it on their sales, product and marketing communications. However, there is no requirement that the Licensee use the JCF Logo.
Recommended Uses:
- Products - On products that are based on Java card technology, or the packaging for such products.
- Product literature - On data sheets and brochures for products that are based on Java card technology.
- Technical documents - On user's and programmer's manuals for products based on Java card technology.
- Advertising - In Licensee advertisements, except those which reference exclusively products that are not based on Java card technology.
- Web sites - On appropriate web pages to indicate Licensee membership in the Java Card Forum. If used, the JCF Logo image should point, by hypertext link, to the Java Card Forum web site http://www.javacardforum.org.
- Signs - At trade shows and other product displays to identify the Licensee as a member of the Java Card Forum.
- Presentations - On slide presentations and handouts given by Licensee.
Limitations on Use
The JCF Logo shall not be used to designate or imply that a product or service is compliant with any standard, specification or test procedure, or that a product has been evaluated or found fit for use for any purpose.
Alterations
Graphical Presentation - The JCF Logo may only be presented graphically in the same manner (including the color, proportion and format) as the specimen herein. The electronic reproduction of the JCF Logo in computer-generated screen applications must also conform to this specimen.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the JCF Logo may be used in black-and-white reproductions. Also, the graphical presentation of the JCF Logo may include animation (i.e., Java applets, etc.) provided that the presentation does not obscure, distort or deface the JCF Logo.
The word "Member" may be included with the JCF Logo on signs, for example, to indicate the Licensee's membership in the Java Card Forum.
